This year I’m not only taking part as an artist, but I’ve also been helping to jointly manage the event, so it has been a very busy few months behind the scenes. It’s been amazing to see it all come together.
There will be 25 artists, 12 venues and such a diverse range of creativity to explore — from painting, printmaking and textiles to mosaics, sculpture, crafts and galleries. It’s the biggest event of its kind in Falkirk, and I’m really proud to be part of it.
Open Studios is such a lovely way to discover creativity right on your doorstep. You can meet artists and makers, visit studios and creative spaces, see work in person, ask questions, have a chat, and maybe even find a piece of original art or handmade craft to take home.
